Martyn’s pride in the job earns him an NHBC award

Martyn Currie, Site Manager for Atkinson Building Contractors, has been announced as a winner in the Single Plot category in the first round of the annual Pride in the Jobs Awards organised by NHBC (National House-Building Council), and is now shortlisted for a regional title.
Award-winning site managers display the utmost care, professionalism and attention to detail in their work. Martyn’s win for managing the construction of a luxury four bedroom detached home near Penrith demonstrated this perfectly.
Beating intense competition to bag the accolade with only 450 Pride in the Job first-round winners shortlisted from over 15,000 UK site managers working on housing projects registered with NHBC, the UK’s leading warranty and insurance provider and standards setter for new build homes.

Martyn confirmed “I’m immensely proud, it’s a testament to the quality and workmanship of everybody involved in the project. For it to be recognised by NHBC is a major achievement.”

Commenting on this achievement Atkinson Building Contractor’s Director, Steve Atkinson said:
“Martyn faced substantial competition and we are very proud of him winning this prestigious award. Being nominated as a finalist is recognition of his experience, capability and high standards, it is a significant accolade for Martyn who has been with the company for almost 20 years; he is a credit to our company, this contract and our site management.”
