With the permission from Lonsdale Estates, Atkinsons were once again proud to erect the cross at the Penrith Beacon in time for the commencement of Holy Week.
Paul Cleminson, Chris Highton and Jack Saggers, Atkinson Building Contractors Ltd employees erected the cross.
May I, on behalf of Churches Together in Penrith and on behalf of the whole community, express their sincere thanks and deep appreciation to everyone who has made it possible for the Penrith Beacon cross to stand above the town again this Easter. After a year with so much grief, anxiety, sorrow and loss, the Beacon Cross reminds of the great victory of Easter. Thank you, it's wonderful to see. The Rev David Sargent
