The Pride in Penrith Lottery was set up in in association with the Penrith Chamber of Trade and Commerce and with the support of many local businesses.
At the ‘heart of the local community’, ATKINSON BUILDING CONTRACTORS believed this to be a worthy cause and provided a substantial financial contribution to became a key partner.
The Lottery has the objective of improving the town, ensuring local events continue to take place, helping local good causes and ensuring the community spirit of Penrith remains as it faces changes. The Lottery gives local people the opportunity to contribute to the town's well being, as all the money they place on the Lottery goes back into the community...as well as making some people that little bit wealthier!
To date over £10,000 has been donated to good causes and it has helped a variety of projects including Penrith Swimming Club, Sunbeam Music Trust, Pony Club, Beacon Wheelers, Carleton park Development, The Halloween Festival, Vintage Penrith and Christmas lights, Eden Community Radio, Hospice at Home and Penrith in Bloom.
