We have successfully installed a new defibrillator at our head office in Penrith. The installation of this piece of medical equipment coincides with ‘Restart a Heart’ month, an annual campaign that runs throughout October. The campaign aims to highlight and educate people on the importance of knowing what to do if someone were to go into cardiac arrest, as well as spotting the signs of a medical emergency.
The campaign is led by the Resuscitation Council UK, alongside partners-St. Johns Ambulance and the British Red Cross. The initiative aims to increase the number of people surviving out of hospital cardiac arrests, as performing immediate CRP can have a lifechanging effect.
Although we hope it is never needed, we are proud to have been able to add to the existing facilities for those on Eden Business Park.
